CEO Update #8 - 8 April 2020

Good afternoon team,

As scheduled, the Australian Parliament are meeting today to debate and pass the new legislation surrounding the new Jobkeeper allowance. We are working later today and tomorrow to go through the new legislation with our external advisors. We are looking to be in a position to come back and confirm our plans as soon as possible, probably over the Easter weekend.

In the meantime, I wanted to provide everyone with an insight on what else is happening around Motorama.

In terms of our business enquiry levels, two weeks ago we saw a major downshift in sales enquiries which has now started to normalise, albeit at much lower levels. Our sales enquiry is levelling out around 35% of normal. Surprisingly some service departments have remained strong with good numbers of customers still wanting to get their cars serviced before Easter. We will continue to monitor both of these key indicators so we can plan our business accordingly.

We have two building projects still underway for our new Jeep business. One being a complete overhaul of the old Holden Used Car Showroom at Springwood and the second a 4WD track for Jeep at Moorooka, both are due to be completed in May.

Shifting gears it has been impossible to get some hygiene products at the supermarket, like hand sanitiser and antibacterial liquid hand soap. We have been working with our car wash chemical suppliers "Car Groomers" to provide us with some bulk quantities. We are expecting some antibacterial hand soap in 25 litre drums later today. We will get those drums out to the dealerships tomorrow. If you need some, please bring in your 250ml hand pump bottles tomorrow and get a refill. We will restrict this to one refill per person so there is enough to go around. We will be able to get more as we need it.... The hand sanitiser gel should be available late next week, so good news.

Washing your hands regularly is one of the most important things that we must all do to slow the spread of the Coronavirus. There are a number of other steps that we need to follow, often this is difficult to remember as it is not natural behaviour. For that reason I want to put a challenge to every department and that is to create either a work place 'song' or 'jingle' or an 'acronym' (like SMAC) that helps us all to remember what to do. This idea is about remembering and having 'FUN' at work which is one of our key values.....

Your idea must try and touch on all elements below.. extra merit will be given if you bring in our company values like 'Care" or "Teamwork".

1. Washing your hands regularly

2. Social Distancing to 1.5 meters

3. Sneezing or coughing into a tissue or your elbow

4. Avoid touching your face

It would be great if all departments could submit an idea by the end of next week, Friday 17th of April. Shoot a video of your team delivering your idea in action, pls send it back to me! We will then proudly announce the winners! I hope this will then become part of what we do to keep everyone safe at Motorama.

The next communication from me will be a video over Easter, this will be sent out via text with a link, so keep an eye for that. It will also be posted on https://employees.motorama.com.au/home which will be your main goto website for all Motorama communication.

This video will address a number of key topics, being Jobkeeper, the current market and our strong plans to get through this crisis together.

Kind Regards,

Mark Woelders
